In 1974, Porsche debuted the new G Series version of the 911. Gone were the chrome bumpers of the original 901 a host of improvements across the board. At the top of the line was the 2.7 litre Carrera and for anyone who ordered their car outside of the United States, the car came with the 2.7 MFI engine that was a carry-over from the legendary 2.7 RS of 1973.
One of just 7 911 Carrera Targas delivered to Australia in 1974, this 2.7 MFI Targa recently underwent a bare-metal restoration to its original factory specification, including the gold “safety stripes” on the bonnet.
