Description

The Mercedes 300SL was the fastest production car of its time and was produced as a coupe “Gullwing” between 1954 – 1957 and then as a roadster (1957 – 1963). Often celebrated as one of the greatest sports car designs of the 20th century, the “Gullwing” was able to reach top speeds of 263km/h and was a winner both at the Nurburgring and at LeMans.

Originally delivered new to Hamburg Germany, this example then made its way to the USA. Delivered new in graphite grey and blue plaid interior, it then underwent a full restoration started in 1993 in Miami where it was painted fire engine red with a fresh cream interior as it stands today. The car has resided in Australia since 1996.
