Description
A very special car, delivered new in Australia in 1925 and fitted with a special racing body by James Flood Bodyworks in West Footscray, a notable Australian Coachbuilder of the time. One of just 18 built, it was ordered as a race and hillclimb car for its first owner. Bentley guaranteed 100mp/h performance from the model. The Supersport sits on a shortened chassis compared to other Bentleys of the period, and has a two-plugs per cylinder ignition for its legendary WO Bentley four-cylinder engine, and is fuelled by a pair of SU carburetors. Flamboyant in its appearance, this Supersport has never been restored – it runs and its stunning in its originality. Opportunities to see original examples of this model anywhere in the world are rare.
