Description

1969 brought the first substantive changes to the Porsche 911 lineup which now consisted of three models, the 911T, 911E and 911S all of which were available in coupe and Targa body styles. The T was the base model with the lowest horsepower. The E had a bit more horsepower and more luxury features while the 200hp S variant was the car for weekend racers. The E stands for “Einspritzung” which means injection. Many consider the 911E the sweet spot in the overall lineup.

This 911E is one of 11 coupes delivered to Australia in 1973. It was driven hard for 47,000 miles in its first three years in the country and then stored away in a garage in Sydney until 2001. This long hibernation led to the ‘time warp’ car presented here today. The presents in its original unrestored condition.
