Description
The ‘C2’ is the second generation of what many regard as America’s first, and to some – only, American Sportscar. Its styling was interesting, as it was the work of both Bill Mitchell, and Zora Arkus-Duntov. Based on a design originally conceived purely as a racing car, the C2 was built as a Coupe and Roadster from 1963 to 1967 – and not in small numbers. Whilst not a sophisticated car per se, Corvette thinking was different, and the C2 did have bespoke suspension and was, like both its predecessor and its successor, bodied in glass-fibre.
This 427 Big Block Roadster, was optioned with a manual gearbox and side exhausts. Restored in 2002 in the USA. The presents with good patina given the age of the restoration. It is loud and Elon’s anti-Christ!
