Description

Described as the “most beautiful car in the world” by none other than Enzo Ferrari, the Jaguar E-Type pretty much sums up the glamour and sheer exuberance of the ‘swinging 60s’, especially as it played out in London. The E-Type was the supermodels and rock stars.

The E-Type debuted in 1961 and was manufactured through to 1974. It was relatively inexpensive compared to many other supercars of the era and it’s sheer beauty and high performance assured it an immediate place as a motoring icon.

Jaguar delivered a car that could do up to 150 mph (241 kmh) and also looked incredible when it was standing still. This car, from 1967 is from the first series of the E-Type and the FHC stands for “Fixed Head Coupe”.
