Description
The Mercedes W111 series was a run of cars that are regarded by enthusiasts as some of the best-built production cars of all time. Cars of inherently robust engineering structurally, and hand-assembled with the highest quality fixtures anywhere, they were always regarded as glamorous, rapid cars and have never really dated or waned in their appeal. This car is a 3.5 litre example, powered by Mercedes’ famous steel-blocked, alloy head V8. Styling of the Coupe and this Cabriolet was by Paul Bracq, the same man who penned Mercedes higher-production W113 Pagoda. One of the 5 originally delivered to Australia and reputedly once owned by Rene Rivkin.
