Description

Evocative is the word that best describes the this car. The T290 was Lola’s contender for the 1972 European Championship for makes, but it remained competitive for the duration for the eighties in the hands of privateers.

Powered by a two litre, twin overhead camshaft Chevrolet-Cosworth EA4 with four valves per cylinder, it was capable of pumping out 265bhp.

Bob Marston, Patrick Head and John Barnard co-designed the T290, to replace the T210 and 212. Based on an aluminum monocoque, the chassis was intended to run both two-litre, and three litre engines, with outboard discs at all corners.

This car, T290 HU08 was run by Scuderia Brescia Corse.
