Description
Of the 184 4 ½ Liter models sold new in Australia, this vehicle was one of the cars ordered by Melbourne dealer, Kellow Falkiner, on November 7th, 1949. It was dispatched from the works in England on January 12th, 1950 and was first registered PO-777, delivered with a three year chassis guarantee on April 6th to Frederic Blight & Co. Melbourne.
By 1994, the car had only amassed two owners and had travelled less than 24000 miles, and wasn’t missing a single tool or accessory, and was even accompanied by the original sales brochure and its Kellow Falkiner service history. A sympathetic restoration was carried out from 1994 to 96, that saw the chassis rebuilt, body repainted and the interior re-trimmed with new West of England cloth headlining, Wilton carpet and new Connolly hides.
