Description

The Lancia Aurelia was introduced in 1950. This second series was introduced in 1952 and pumped up the power to 60kw as DeVirgilio developed a higher compression ratio and repositioned valves. Chrome bumpers feature instead of the aluminium of the previous model, along with major instrumentation changes, with the format remaining for the model. This B20 coupe was privately imported to Australia in 1958 with tales of Italian Rally participation. The vehicle had overwhelming evidence of previous crash damage. After a second major crash in 1967, the car went into storage in Melbourne, until the current owner commenced a major restoration, including mechanical, body and paint over a period of 15 years happened in the early 21st century. It is thought as few as 14 of these cars remain.
