Description

Lamborghini’s Countach could lay claim to being the world’s best known supercar, and fairly thus, the icon of the genre. For many, this car – the first generation, unsullied by addenda like a tail or chin spoiler is pure Marcello Gandini, and still looks like an un-spoiled prototype that escaped obscurity and made it to production. It is fitted with Giotto Bizzarini’s four-cam V12 longitudinally, as opposed to the Miura that it replaced, which used the same engine transverse, slung across the car behind the occupants.

One of seven imported to Australia with a one only factory colour, Oro Sahara. (Gold metallic). The Australian distributor ordered the car for himself and asked the factory for a colour that no one else would have. The car has just finished a complete restoration.
