Description

Ferrari’s Boxer models succeeded the Daytona, in a famous lineage as the company’s flagship, that lead to the Testarossa in 1984. They were, by all measures – supercars, and happily addressed criticism by the press and the public that Ferrari were lagging in not offering a mid-engined car like Lamborghini did. Having the advantage grand-prix development and the finest engineers in the business, Ferrrari’s response was to package their fabulous flat-12 above its gearbox, wrapped it in styling by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina and duly sending Lamborghini away to think a little harder about their cars.

Delivered new via Lance Dixon Ferrari to Mr. J Tilley of Box Hill Victoria on the 7th December 1979, this car was ordered in a unique combination of Bianco over boxer trim exterior with light blue (A4303) trim with Daytona inserts and blue carpets. The car has had 5 owners, one whom raced her in the Targa Tasmania in the mid 1990s. The current owner acquired the car on the 3rd July 2008.
